One more Brag from Mike & Susan Cheeks!  ...

TRAFALGAR German Shepherds is proud of its tradition as a small breeder/hobby kennel. Out of just our 7th homebred litter,  2 littermates have added two new and most prestigious titles to their resumes, that of “Register of Merit” (ROM). These littermates, known for the show accomplishments will now be know also for their exceptional producing abilities. We are, of course, speaking about  American Grand Victor 3x Select Ch / 3x Select Canadian CH Maturity Victor/Futurity Victor TRAFAGAR’s Premium Blend (Mocha) - the first of our Grand Victors and his sister, who we  chose not to campaign,  2x American Select Ch, National Winner’s Bitch / Canadian Maturity Victrix Select Ch TRAFALGAR’s Pacific Chai (J-LO), who acquired her ROM  this past Sunday (October 25th), when her daughter, TRAFALGAR’s Morning Express acquired her first major going Best of Breed over Specials from the 12-18 class at the Jersey Shore GSDC specialty show. Mocha & J-Lo are our 3rd generation of ROMs.

As an addendum, because we do so few breeding and have so few dogs, the only bitch we had was Mocha’s sister, and since we were not going to in-breed, we were not able to breed Mocha for ourselves. Thus all of his qualifying progeny were bred,  owned and shown by others, truly a rarity when it comes to males who go on to earn their ROM.

Our sincere appreciation to those breeder’s who recognized the quality of our dogs, by either breeding to and/ or exhibiting their progeny. Mocha & J-Lo are already making an impact on the breed, as they have produced (independently of each other)  an American Grand Victor , a Canadian Grand Victor, an American  Maturity Victor, a Canadian Maturity Victor, a Canadian Maturity Victrix, a Canadian Futurity Victor as well as American & Canadian Futurity/Maturity  winners in addition to their champion progeny.

Mike & Susan Cheeks have not one but two Brags!

Shore GSDC Sweepstakes Brag

This past Sunday, the 25th, Susan handled a dog for the  first time at a point show & sweepstakes, offered by the Jersey Shore German Shepherd Dog .

Owner/ handling TRAFALGAR’s Morning Express ( National Winner’s Bitch, 2x SEL EX CH / CA. Maturity Victrix SEL CH TRAFALGAR’s Pacific Chai x Bronson ) , BreeAnna  out of the 12-18 bitch class, they went on to be awarded Best In Sweepstakes by Judge Larry Gilbert.   Our deepest appreciation and gratitude go out to Mr. Gilbert, the club members for hosting the show and all of ringside which was so supportive of both the new handler and our puppy.

AND

Jersey Shore GSDC Sweepstakes and Point Show

Following Sue’s success in the sweepstakes, in particular, how well our TRAFALGAR’s Morning express worked for her, we decided that Sue should take her into the 12-18 class, rather than myself. Sue was awarded 1st place but because we had an open bitch (Chai is also her dam x Rollins) who won her class, we couldn’t go back in the ring for winner’s.  Mike Reed came to the rescue where they put on a near flawless performance as he guided our young and inexperienced BreeAnna to Winner’s Bitch (while her 1/2 sister was RWB).   Mike  had a Special, so we asked Trish Wylie if she would take BreeAnna in for us.  Taking the lead, Trish also showed our girl to near perfection, looking like she had handled BreeAnna from day one, and going on to be awarded Best of Breed over Specials for her first major/points.  Thank you Judge Ileana Nogueras and handlers Trish, Mike, & Susan for making this an awesome day for us! Thank you JSGSDC members for your hospitality and for your efforts in putting on this fine show and thank you ringside for your wonderful comments and support of our girls.

September Brags

TRAFALGAR German Shepherds has had a spectacular American National, as our boy, TRAFALGAR’s Full Throttle  is the first in the history of the breed to earn the four titles (in the same year or over a period of years) of AMERICAN  &  CANADIAN GRAND VICTOR  plus  AMERICAN  &  CANADIAN MATURITY VICTOR.

The American titles were awarded in November, at the German Shepherd Dog Club of America National., under Judge Helen Gleason (Grand Victor & Best of Breed),  Judge Michel Chaloux (Maturity Victor ) & Judge Cappy Pottle (Best In Maturity).

It is now:

2008 American GRAND VICTOR / 1st SELECT EXCELLENT

                           2008 Canadian GRAND VICTOR / 1st SELECT

                                 2008 American MATURITY VICTOR

                                 2008 Canadian MATURITY VICTOR

                                          2008 American Champion

                                          2008 Canadian Champion

                              TRAFALGAR’s Full Throttle

What a way to wrap up our 2008 show season.  Diesel is just over 2 ½ years old, which makes these wins even more spectacular, if that’s even possible.

We are forever grateful to all of the  judges, handlers and ringside support who made 2008 such an awesome, record setting year for

TRAFALGSAR German Shepherds.

Thank You One & All.

"We got Reserve in NC, Jimmy was there and got breed all 3 days and BIS on Sunday......Can't beat that !"

.........................................................................................................................................................................................................................

CONGRATULATIONS Debbie Muschio!!!

Debbie has put all of these titles on her three GSD's

Ch Covy Tucker Hill , Picasso Von Duke, Ro-nan's Tia of Gaiting Hill

Ch Covy Tucker Hill Topbras Rem OFA

Rembrandt earned  his Championship Title Saturday 3-31-07 at the Sand N Sea Kennel Club in NJ

We got this title together as owner  handler!!!!...So we are very proud!.....

Rembrandt is my first Champion and as owner handler we accomplished this feat together. I put his majors and all his points on except 3 singles.  We also earned a group 3 and a Group 4 along with several BOB.  Rembrandt is a Dallas son and he is 4 years old.  He loves to keep busy playing ball and swimming which keeps him fit.  I love this dog more then words can say, he made my dreams come true.  Rem will always leave his paw print in my heart.  I will Special him and one day hope to get a duel title on him!  ...  Debbie Muschio

.........................................................................................................................................................................................................................

Picasso Von Duke

Picasso earned his CD, CDX, RAE, CGC

Picasso Von Duke CD,CDX,RAE, CGC.  Picasso is a handsome GSD with an exceptional temperament.  He loves everyone he meets.  With Picasso I have earned more titles then any other dog to this point.  Together we did all the training classes and stuck it out even when it looked like the titles would never come.  I never got as far as a CDX but, Picasso made that possible.  We will train for our UD along with other interests.  He is a dog who would rather kiss people then work but he gets the job done.  Picasso is 4 years old  ...  Debbie Muschio

.........................................................................................................................................................................................................................

Ro-nan's Tia of Gaiting Hill

Tia has her CD, RN,RA, RE, CGC, (and we are working on her RAE now)...

Ro-Nan's Tia of Gaiting Hill, CD, RE, CGC.   Tia is a lovely coat.  She is out of Sel Ch purple Rain and is 2 years old.  She is fun to train and gives me lots of focus.  Tia aims to please and really is a sweet girl.  We got her CD pretty quick but she seems to really excel in Rally with high scores and most of the time in the ribbons.  We do plan to breed her one day.  We will continue to train for other titles and have fun at it!   ... Debbie Muschio
